Box Hill Golf Club's weekly Open Competition is held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The event is open to all golfers (members and visitors) with a $6.00 entry fee. Players can book their tee times via the club website, app, or by calling the golf shop. Competitions are played as individual strokeplay events (Monthly Medals) under the rules of golf as set out by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and the United States Golf Association. Players must hold a Golf Australia handicap, report to the golf shop 10 minutes before hit-off time, and pay the competition fee before starting. Maximum handicap for men is 36 and for women is 45. Ties in monthly medals are resolved by playing a strokeplay playoff on the next Saturday or as directed by the match committee.
