Box Hill Golf Club hosts weekly Open Competitions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. These are individual strokeplay events (Monthly Medals) open to all golfers holding a Golf Australia Handicap. The maximum handicap for men is 36 and for women is 45. A $6.00 entry fee applies to all competitions. Players can book via the club website, app, or by calling the golf shop. Players must report to the golf shop 10 minutes before hit-off time and competition fees must be paid at registration. All competitions are played according to the rules of golf as set out by the Royal and Ancient Scotland and the United States Golfing Association. Ties in Monthly Medals are resolved by playing a stroke round on the next Saturday or as directed by the match committee.
