Box Hill Golf Club's Open Competition is a weekly strokeplay medal competition held on Tuesdays (as well as Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays). The event is open to all golfers who hold a valid Golf Australia Handicap. Maximum handicap limits are 36 for men and 45 for women. The entry fee is $6.00 AUD, payable before commencing the round. Players can book their tee times via the club's website or app, or by calling the golf shop. Competition players must report to the golf shop 10 minutes before hit-off time. All competitions are played according to the rules of golf as set out by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of Scotland and the United States Golfing Association. Monthly medal competitions include tie-play procedures on the next Saturday if required.
