The MAKITA 9 is a 9-hole individual stableford competition held at Golfclub Laab im Walde on the Challenge course. The event is open to all amateur golfers with a World Handicap Index of 54 or below who are members of a golf club affiliated with the Austrian Golf Federation (ÖGV) or an internationally recognized national golf association. Tee times are flexible between 14:00 and 17:00, allowing players to choose their preferred start time. The entry fee is €18 for members and €32 for guests (youth rates: €12 for members, €18 for guests). Registration closes at 11:00 on the day of the event. Players use electronic scorecards. The competition is handicap-relevant and results are recorded for gross and net Stableford scoring. The event is part of the MAKITA Afterwork 9 series, a nationwide Austrian club tournament circuit where results feed into regional ÖGV rankings across four age categories (under 30, 31-45, 46-60, and 61+). Participants can enter any number of events in the series, with the nine best results counting toward the ranking. A minimum of five tournament participations is required to qualify for the Conference Finals. Women play from the red tees, men from the yellow tees, and players under 12 from the red tees. The field is limited to 40 participants. No presentation prizes are awarded for individual club tournaments, though the series includes a broader ranking structure with prizes at regional and national final stages.
