The Wednesday Individual Game (WIG) is a weekly 9-hole individual competition held at Airport National Golf Course. The event is open to the public with no membership required; participants must sign up by 4:00 PM on the day of play. Tee times start at 4:30 PM with a 5:00 PM shotgun start. The entry fee is $26 for non-season pass holders, which includes $2 contributed to the prize fund by the course, $5 for the individual game, and $5 for a random draw 2-person team game. Season pass holders pay $8 for walking and $5 for the individual game. All winnings are distributed as gift certificates. A GHIN handicap is required; players without one will have a handicap created by the pros based on reputation, receiving 60% of that handicap until a GHIN handicap is established. To maintain pace of play, players must pick up after a net double bogey. Some Wednesdays are designated as 'Food Nights' or 'Best Shot' nights, but the core WIG format remains an individual game.
