The Wednesday Individual Game (WIG) is a weekly 9-hole individual competition held at Airport National Golf Course in East Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The event is open to the public with no membership required. Players must sign up by 4:00 PM on the day of the event. Tee times begin at 4:30 PM with a shotgun start at 5:00 PM. The entry fee is $26 for non-season pass holders, which includes $8 for season pass walking, $5 for the individual game, and $5 for a random draw 2-person team game. The course adds $2 to the prize fund each week. All winnings are paid in gift certificates. A GHIN handicap is required; players without a GHIN handicap will have one created by the pro shop based on player reputation, with a 60% handicap allowance until GHIN is established. To maintain pace of play, players are asked to pick up after net double bogey. Some Wednesdays are designated as 'Food Nights' with special themes. Results are posted on the club website weekly.
