The Wednesday Individual Game (WIG) is a weekly 9-hole individual competition held at Airport National Golf Course. Tee times start at 4:30pm with a 5pm shotgun start. The event is open to the public; players must sign up by 4pm on the day of play. Entry fee is $26 for non-season pass holders ($8 for season pass holders). The course adds $2 to the prize fund from each entry. $5 of the entry fee goes to a random draw 2-person team game, with winnings distributed as gift certificates. All winnings are paid out in gift certificates. A GHIN handicap is required; players without one will have a handicap created by the pros based on reputation (receiving 60% of that handicap until GHIN is established). To maintain pace of play, players are asked to pick up after a net double bogey. Results are posted on the course website. Some Wednesdays are designated as Food Nights or Best Shot nights.
