The Thursday Tournament (Torsdagsturnering), sponsored by Per Bihl, is Svendborg Golf Club's weekly open competition held every Thursday throughout the 2026 season (April through September). The event is open to all handicap golfers aged 15 and over, with a maximum handicap of 42.0. Both club members and greenfee visitors may enter. Entry is made via Golfbox online, with a deadline of Sunday 20:00 for early start (09:30–10:30 in April, 08:00–09:30 in May–September). Late start (14:30–15:30 in April and September, 15:30–16:30 in May–August) can be booked via Golfbox or by arriving at the course and paying via MobilePay. The entry fee is 30 DKK. Players are grouped into teams of 3 or 4 by the tournament committee. Scoring is primarily stableford with alternating formats in some rounds. Players are divided into three handicap divisions: Ranks A (hcp +8 to 19), B (hcp 19.1–25.7), and C (hcp 25.8–42.0). Placement in ranks is determined at first participation and does not change during the season. Prizes are awarded each Thursday for top positions in each rank (provided there are at least 12 participants), plus ongoing cumulative prizes across the season (4 prizes per rank, 12 total), with the cumulative score based on all single tournaments minus the 4 worst rounds. Tie-breaks on the last 9 holes use 6-3-1 or draw. Season-ending prize presentations include a communal meal. Start times are managed by the tournament committee, which assigns players to groups of 2, 3, or 4 balls.
