The Thursday Tournament (Torsdagsturnering), sponsored by Per Bihl, is Svendborg Golf Club's weekly open competition held every Thursday throughout the 2026 season (April to September). The tournament is open to all handicap golfers aged 15 and over, including greenfee visitors and non-members. Entry is via Golfbox online booking, with a start fee of 30 DKK. Players can choose early start (08:00-09:30 from May to September, 09:30-10:30 in April) or late start (14:30-15:30 in April and September, 15:30-16:30 from May to August). Early starters must register by Sunday 20:00 via Golfbox; late starters can register on the day. The tournament uses alternating formats but is mostly played as stableford. Players are grouped into 3 or 4-ball flights by the tournament leadership. There are three divisions based on handicap: Division A (handicap +8 to 19), Division B (handicap 19.1 to 25.7), and Division C (handicap 25.8 to 42.0). Daily prizes are awarded to the top 3 finishers in each division (provided there are at least 12 participants), and there are also ongoing season prizes across all divisions. Tie-breaks for equal scores are decided on the last 9 holes (6-3-1) or by lot.
