The Thursday Night League (T-N-L) is a weekly open league at Pembroke Country Club, open to both members and non-members. Men and women are welcome. Players must hold a USGA handicap. The league plays the first 9 holes on Thursday evenings, with tee times available between 10 am and 6 pm. Players must book their tee time each week (tee-times can be made up to 7 days in advance) via the online booking system or by calling the Pro Shop at 781-829-2273. Regular green fee rates apply in addition to a weekly league fee of $20. The league uses a quota scoring system where players earn points based on their score relative to par: double bogey or higher = 0 points, bogey = 1 point, par = 2 points, birdie = 4 points, eagle = 8 points. A starting quota is calculated from the player's course handicap (derived from white tees) using the formula: (36 - course handicap) / 2. Teams of 3 are drawn by blind draw and compete for team quota prizes. Additional prizes include closest to the pin, gross and net skins, and individual quota winners. Scores are submitted at the Pro Shop or Grill Room upon completion, or can be emailed. Scoring is completed on Fridays and winnings can be picked up in the Pro Shop. USGA rules govern all play, with play from the white tees except red tees on hole #3. Players may lift, clean, and place within 6 inches of their ball's position, provided they do not improve the ball's position from rough to fairway or sand trap to rough.
