The Thursday Night League (T-N-L) is a weekly open league at Pembroke Country Club in Pembroke, Massachusetts, open to both members and non-members. The 2026 season runs weekly on Thursdays starting May 14, 2026. Players compete on the first 9 holes with tee times available between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. A USGA handicap is required to participate. Men and women are welcome. The weekly league fee is $20, and regular green fee rates also apply. Players book tee times online via the club's booking system or by calling the Pro Shop at 781-829-2273. Tee times can be made up to 7 days in advance and are not held week to week. The league uses a Quota Scoring System: Double Bogey or Higher = 0 points, Bogey = 1 point, Par = 2 points, Birdie = 4 points, Eagle = 8 points. Players' course handicaps are determined from the white tees, and their starting quota is calculated as (36 - course handicap) / 2. Scores are turned in at the Pro Shop or Grill Room upon completion, or can be emailed. Scoring is completed on Fridays, and winnings can be picked up in the Pro Shop. Prizes include Closest to the Pin winners (2 holes), Individual Quota winners, Blind Draw Team Quota winners (teams of 3 are drawn), and Gross & Net Skins. Payouts and raffle prizes increase as league play continues. Play follows USGA Rules, from the white tees (except red tees on hole #3). Players may lift, clean, and place within 6 inches of their ball, provided they do not improve the ball's position from rough to fairway or sand trap to rough. In the interest of pace of play, players at double bogey or higher (which yields zero points) are asked to move along. The dress code requires proper golf attire including collared shirts or turtlenecks, with no jeans, cutoffs, or tank tops. Spikeless or soft spike shoes are required; metal spikes are not permitted.
