Apple Valley Golf Course was designed by Dan Maples and opened in 1986. The course measures 6,756 yards from the tips and is a par 72 with 18 holes. Routed through the Blue Ridge foothills surrounding scenic Lake Lure, the course features the mountain setting typical of Western North Carolina. Maples designed Apple Valley with the vast majority of holes playing either level or downhill. The course offers five sets of tees starting at 4,617 yards with subtle green complexes and gently undulating greens, making it playable for different skill levels. Mountain lakes adorn 12 holes on Apple Valley, but water only occasionally comes into play. The back nine is widely regarded as one of the best closing stretches in the Western Carolinas. The par-3 14th hole, with its shallow green and back bunker, is reminiscent of No. 12 at Augusta National. The course has hosted numerous championships and tournaments. The North Carolina Golf Panel ranks Apple Valley in the Top 100 Best Courses in North Carolina.

Applebrook Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Malvern, Pennsylvania featuring 6,830 yards of golf for a par of 71. Designed by Gilbert Hanse, the course opened in 2001. The club is located on the property of the former Applebrook Farm, which was deeded by William Penn to Robert Williams in 1702. Applebrook is described as a classic Golden Age-style layout with small greens, attractive rough-edged bunkering and native grasses, taking stylistic cues from the legendary Philadelphia course Merion. The course features wide fairways and green complexes that are both subtle and intricate, with plentiful and varied bunkers that do not overwhelm the golfer, and water present on nearly half the holes. Par 4s range from 310 to 466 yards, five par 3s from 121 to 224 yards, and there are two reachable par 5s with two others rarely reached by even the longest hitters. The ninth and eighteenth holes feature the "quarry," a sandy area that offers views of the entire course. Applebrook has been ranked in Golf Digest's Top 15 best courses in Pennsylvania for 2013 and 2019-2026. In 2019, Applebrook hosted the GAP Patterson Cup. As a walking golf club, Applebrook maintains one of the finest caddie programs in the country.
