Applebrook Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Malvern, Pennsylvania featuring 6,830 yards of golf for a par of 71. Designed by Gilbert Hanse, the course opened in 2001. The club is located on the property of the former Applebrook Farm, which was deeded by William Penn to Robert Williams in 1702. Applebrook is described as a classic Golden Age-style layout with small greens, attractive rough-edged bunkering and native grasses, taking stylistic cues from the legendary Philadelphia course Merion.
The course features wide fairways and green complexes that are both subtle and intricate, with plentiful and varied bunkers that do not overwhelm the golfer, and water present on nearly half the holes. Par 4s range from 310 to 466 yards, five par 3s from 121 to 224 yards, and there are two reachable par 5s with two others rarely reached by even the longest hitters. The ninth and eighteenth holes feature the "quarry," a sandy area that offers views of the entire course.
Applebrook has been ranked in Golf Digest's Top 15 best courses in Pennsylvania for 2013 and 2019-2026. In 2019, Applebrook hosted the GAP Patterson Cup. As a walking golf club, Applebrook maintains one of the finest caddie programs in the country.
