Chester Valley Golf Club is a par-70 championship golf course that earned the reputation for being the toughest test on the PGA Tour Champions during the 12 years it hosted an event. The course was originally designed by Perry Maxwell, extensively renovated in 1969 by Philadelphia's George Fazio, with additional major renovations by Forse Design in 2009. Located in Malvern, Pennsylvania, the club sits among the hills with the course set on hilly land. Players can choose between five sets of challenging tees, and the terrain features dramatic carries, heaving slopes and bending fairways.
From 1985 to 1997, Chester Valley was selected to host a tournament event for the Senior PGA Tour (now called PGA Tour Champions), with players viewing the course as a favorite stop and its 6th hole ranked in the Top Five most difficult holes year to year. The course is a designated Audubon International Certified Cooperative Sanctuary, preserving wildlife habitat, protecting water quality, and improving the environment overall. Chester Valley Golf Club offers 18-hole golf, pool and tennis facilities and clubhouse dining as a private members-only club.
