White Manor Country Club

Course Information

White Manor Country Club was founded in 1948 with Bobby Weed serving as architect. The 18-hole course features 6920 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course reopened to rave reviews in August 2003, winning an award as U.S. Course Renovation of the Year. Golf Digest named White Manor's golf course as one of Pennsylvania's Top 25 Golf Courses in 2015.

Located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, the course is set largely within a valley with a creek diagonally bisecting the property, with each nine beginning by playing down into the base of the valley, then traversing up, across, and down the other side of the ridge. The creek and several ponds feature prominently on multiple holes, and elevation changes factor into several shots throughout the course. The Bobby Weed design highlights his "shaggy" bunker features and large, subtle breaking greens, with pin positions creating scenarios where holes may play completely different from one day to the next.

Since the Weed renovation, White Manor has hosted professional and amateur tournaments, including the Senior PGA Tour's Bell Atlantic Classic and the Tylenol Kids Classic. In 2013, Golfweek Magazine recognized the course as the #3 "Modern Design" golf course and #14 in the state of Pennsylvania.
