The first nine holes were opened in 1937, designed by Englishman Francis L. "Frank" James, who had designed over a hundred courses. The second nine holes were constructed from 1968 to 1970, designed by golf course architect Bob E. Baldock, with the current clubhouse built in 1969. Set in the rolling hills of the Palouse of north central Idaho, the course sits at an average elevation of 2,650 feet, and the significant elevation changes, terraced fairways, and often breezy conditions contribute to make it a challenging track. The front nine provides scoring opportunities, featuring three par-5s in an open grassland venue, while the back nine tightens up into a narrow parkland theme, including two difficult par-3s, with the round concluding by running a gauntlet of three challenging holes known as "Heartbreak Ridge". The UI Golf Course is the home of the Vandal golf teams, which compete in the Big Sky Conference of the NCAA.

Ray Richards Golf Course in Grand Forks, North Dakota is a full-service, nine-hole golf course located adjacent to the University of North Dakota. The 9-hole course features 3,273 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36 and was designed by Robert B. Harris, ASGCA, opening in 2020. Tee box to green yardages range from 2,637 to 3,309 yards, with an average of two sand traps on each hole and several doglegged fairways. The golf course is owned and operated by the University of North Dakota and is located along the south border of the Grand Forks campus. The course rating is 35.1 and it has a slope rating of 118 on Blue grass. Ray Richards Golf Course has an onsite driving range with 4 practice tees. The course mission is to enhance the educational process at UND by providing the University community with a recreational outlet, as well as a classroom for golf classes conducted for credit, while providing the entire community with a first-class golf facility.

University of Texas Golf Club

The University of Texas Golf Club is a 7,412-yard, par 71 championship golf course designed by Bechtol Russell Golf Design. Located in the scenic Texas Hill Country, the course offers stunning views of Lake Austin and borders the Balcones Natural Wildlife Preserve, providing both challenging play and breathtaking scenery. The course was built in 2003. As a collegiate course, it must be walkable due to NCAA regulations. The back nine is a little easier than the front, but some members choose to walk the whole round. The course has a nice mix of holes with some very difficult par three holes and some nice par fours, with the finishing hole being terrific and difficult. The greens are consistently among the best champion bermuda found on courses. The course is home to the Texas men's and women's golf teams and serves as a championship-caliber venue for university golf. The club hosts the Folds of Honor 'The Texas Way' tournament annually in the fall.

University Park Golf Course
