The Yorktown Course is an 18-hole layout at Williamsburg National Golf Club in Williamsburg featuring 7,018 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by renowned architect Tom Clark, the course has five sets of tees ranging from 7,000 yards and challenging test for the best golfers to less than 5,000 yards and very playable for the novice golfer. The Yorktown Course opened in 2007.
Tom Clark's Yorktown layout is a great mix of classic course design with a few modern twists. The Yorktown's back nine is among the most unique and interesting in the Williamsburg area with three par 5's, three par 4's and three par 3's. The Yorktown Course features hybrid bent grass greens and the region only seasonally over-seeded fairways for year-round green grass playing conditions and the best fairways on the peninsula.
The course was ranked as the No. 7 most-improved course nationwide by Golf Advisor in 2018. It has earned multiple accolades, including a spot in Golf Digest's "Top Ten Courses You Can Play in Virginia." Contrasting designs and putting surfaces on the Yorktown and Jamestown courses provide club members, locals, and traveling golfers two distinctly different golf experiences.
