The River Course ☆ Follow

The River Course is an 18-hole championship layout at River Landing in Eastern North Carolina, designed by acclaimed architect Clyde Johnston. The course features 5 tee boxes with Champion Bermuda greens and Tifway 419 Bermuda fairways, offering multiple difficulty levels for players of all abilities. Six holes run along a mile-long frontage of the Northeast Cape Fear River, which provides one of the course's defining characteristics alongside scenic lakes and lush woodlands typical of the eastern coastal plain region.

The River Course opened in 1996 as the first of two championship courses at River Landing. The design takes full advantage of the natural terrain, incorporating the river and natural water features throughout the layout. The course is part of a master-planned community that includes hospitality facilities and recreational amenities.

The River Course is recognized among the top courses in its region, contributing to River Landing's reputation as a premier golfing destination in the Wilmington area of North Carolina. The facility offers a championship experience while accommodating golfers across the skill spectrum through its multiple tee options.
