Ponca City Country Club is a private 18-hole golf course located in Ponca City, Oklahoma, that first opened for play in 1928. Based on the memories of several long-time members, only the holes on the original front nine of the course, south and east of the clubhouse, were designed by the legendary Perry Maxwell. The back nine was redesigned by Bill Oliver in 1945, and the course was redesigned again in 1971-72 by Don Sechrest. Under the direction of the Arnold Palmer group, other major changes to the golf course have included the rebuilding of holes #5 and #8 in 1987 and holes #1 and #3 in 1989.
Par for the course is 72, and from the back tees the course plays to 6,495 yards. The course features undulating greens on terrain that is hilly. The most demanding hole is par-3 that plays slightly uphill. The course spans 260 acres with 724 trees in play and 58 sand bunkers.
The club hosts the Cherokee Strip Golf Classic, the longest running Pro-am in the U.S.
