Perry Golf & Country Club was established in 1906 when Oklahoma was still a territory following the Cherokee Strip Land Run of 1893. The club features a 9-hole, par-70 course, with 3,079 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35. The course was designed by Perry Maxwell and is currently ranked #2 in Oklahoma by Golf Digest for 9-hole courses behind Southern Hills Country Club's short course.
Since its inception, the mission of Perry Golf & Country Club has been to provide a family-centric social club for the citizens of Perry and the surrounding area. Maxwell's design trademarks were his contoured greens and the ability to use the existing natural topography to set out challenging holes. The course reflects Maxwell's philosophy of working with the natural landscape rather than substantially altering it, a hallmark of his Golden Age design principles.
The facility includes a restaurant, swimming pool and more. The club operates as a private membership facility serving the Perry, Oklahoma area and maintains its status as one of the region's premier golf destinations designed by one of America's most respected golf architects.
