Elk City Golf & Country Club is a short, scenic, fair, and challenging layout that plays to a par of 71, stretching 6,179 yards maximum. The course was designed and modified by Donald Sechrest, with the course being a joint venture between the municipal government of Elk City and private citizens who are members. The course opened in 1955.

All greens are small targets averaging under 3,000 square feet, subtly undulated, with some playing even smaller because of false sides or undulations which makes precise iron play necessary for low scoring. A key strength of the layout lies in five excellent Par-3 holes, including the 140-yard #10, and holes #5 and #7 which are medium length Par-3 holes well guarded by sand or water, while holes #13 and #17 both play over 200 yards. The fairways and roughs are Bermuda grass, while the greens are seeded with bent grass.

Located in Elk City, OK, the course is open to the public. The facility includes a driving range, pro shop, and practice areas for chipping and pitching.
