Windy Trails ☆ Follow

Windy Trails Golf Course is an 18-hole facility in Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma featuring 6,963 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course was designed by Civil Engineers of the Base and opened in 1960. The course has a rating of 72.8 with a slope rating of 120. Depending on wind direction, the course plays differently from day to day.

The original 9 holes feature Pencross bent-grass while the North 9 holes have a mixture of Pencross and Crenshaw bent-grasses. The course offers views of both Quartz Mountain and the Navajo Mountains. The facility includes an onsite driving range with 4 practice tees and 24-hour driving range access with lighting throughout the night.

The facility is managed by the U.S. Air Force Services Agency. The course provides a challenging yet playable experience with well-maintained conditions suitable for golfers of varying skill levels.
