Mangum Municipal Golf Course is a southwestern dry land course spread across eighty acres on the quiet edge of Mangum, Oklahoma. Originally established as a primitive sand greens course in the 1960s on the site of former Ponder Field Airport, the course underwent significant development in 1971 with the addition of nine new greens, irrigation systems, and a clubhouse. Over time, amenities including a driving range and putting green were added.

The course features scenic views of the Wichita Mountain Range, the oldest mountain range in North America, providing an attractive backdrop. The layout is characterized by fairways lined with varied vegetation including Pine, Cedar, Poplar, and Maple trees that provide wind protection. Notable design elements include sand traps and a pond, with a cherished historic Mimosa tree near green #9 being a distinctive landmark around which the course was built.

Since July 2021, the course has been managed through an interlocal cooperative agreement between Mangum Public Schools and the City, with the school district providing maintenance and operational workforce. The facility requires golfers to be at least 16 years old with a valid driver's license to operate golf carts.
