The Broadmoor Golf Club, located in the Cheyenne Mountain foothills of Colorado Springs, features multiple championship courses. The East Course, an 18-hole layout of 7,158 yards with a par 72, was originally designed by legendary architect Donald Ross in 1916, then later modified with additions by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1952. The West Course is an 18-hole course of 7,135 yards with par 71, also featuring a blend of Ross and Jones Sr. design. Both courses sit at approximately 6,400-6,800 feet in elevation, making them among the highest courses in the United States. The courses are known for wide, tree-lined fairways, expansive greens, challenging terrain, and spectacular mountain vistas. A distinctive feature is that putts break away from the mountain regardless of ground undulations.

The East Course has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the 1959 U.S. Amateur (Jack Nicklaus's first major), the 1995 U.S. Women's Open (Annika Sorenstam's first major), the 2008 and 2018 U.S. Senior Opens, and the 2011 U.S. Women's Open. The West Course hosted the 1998 PGA Cup Matches. The East Course received a five-star rating from Golf Digest, one of only 12 North American and Caribbean courses to achieve this distinction. Both courses are ranked among the best in the United States and consistently challenge players of all skill levels.
