The Bribie Island Wood Duck Challenge is a monthly handicap single stableford competition held on the second Friday of each month at Bribie Island Golf Club. The event is open to all male and female golfers with a GolfLink or GA registered handicap (or equivalent overseas). Men play from the Black tees and women from the Pink tees. Maximum handicap limits are 36 for men and 45 for women. Prizes include $150 for the best overall stableford score, $75 each for the best men's and women's scores (excluding the overall winner, conditional on minimum 10 players of that gender), and run-down prizes. Bookings open 21 days prior to the event via the club website or golf shop. Motorised carts are permitted on paths. The MiScore app can be used for scoring.

Bribie Island Golf Club is an 18-hole, Par 72 championship course located in Woorim on Bribie Island, Queensland. The course is ranked among Australia's top 100 public access golf courses. Established in 1969, the club was founded by Don Mullen and Jim Jeppesen, with the course designed by renowned professional golfer and greenkeeper Arch McArthur, who compared the site's quality to St Andrews. The course is situated on a water and recreation reserve at Skirmish Point, offering a links-style layout characteristic of the natural landscape. The club features a modern air-conditioned clubhouse with an excellent restaurant, gaming facilities, and function spaces available for events and conferences. Social golf rounds are available daily at $62 for 18 holes or $36 for 9 holes, with motorised cart rental options.
