Wednesday Golf

Onsdagsgolfen (Wednesday Golf) is Carlskrona GK's popular weekly Wednesday competition, part of the OKQ8-bollen series. The 2026 season runs from April 15 to September 9, with a final on September 13. It is a V.S.O.P. (Valfri Start Och Partner / Free Start and Partner) competition, meaning players can compete on any Wednesday between 08:00-17:50. The ten best results during the season count toward the overall standings in men's and ladies' classifications. To enter the final on September 13, players must have participated in at least six weekly competitions. The competition is open to all golfers with no start restrictions. Entry fee is 60 SEK per competition. Points are distributed as follows: Men's class – 20-15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2 (all other participants receive 1 point); Ladies' class – 10-7-5-4-3-2 (all other participants receive 1 point). There is also a separate two-person team betterball competition (200 SEK per team for the season, with the 8 best Wednesdays counting), nearest the pin on hole 15 (included in entry fee), and an eclectic competition (100 SEK per person for the season). Scorecards must be submitted to the shop or via the 'black mailbox' at the old greenfee drop-off, signed by a marker. The first Wednesday of each month plays from the Valfri Tee. Golf carts are permitted without medical certificate for this event.
