Wednesday Golf

Onsdagsgolfen (Wednesday Golf) is Carlskrona Golf Club's popular weekly competition held every Wednesday from April 15 to September 9, 2026, with a final on September 13. The event is open to all golfers with no start restrictions. Players compete individually in a V.S.O.P (Valfri Start Och Partner) format, choosing their own start time between 08:00-17:50 and optionally playing with a partner. Each player plays their own ball, and the ten best results during the season count toward the overall classification. Separate men's (Herrklassen) and ladies' (Damklassen) divisions are scored using a points system: men receive 20-15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2 points for the top ten positions with all other participants receiving 1 point; ladies receive 10-7-5-4-3-2 points for the top six positions with all other participants receiving 1 point. The entry fee is 60 SEK per event, payable via Swish, card, or in the reception. Physical scorecards must be submitted to the shop or via the designated scoring area, signed by a marker. A nearest-the-pin contest is held on hole 15 each week. The first Wednesday of each month features a Valfri Tee (free tee selection) option. Registration is made through the GIT online system or by phone, with entries typically closing at 12:00 two days before the competition. The final on September 13 requires participation in at least six of the preceding weekly events and is played in a seeded format.
