Wednesday Golf (Onsdagsgolfen) is Carlskrona Golf Club's popular weekly Wednesday competition held during the 2026 season from April 15 to September 9, 2026, with a final scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026. The competition is open to all golfers regardless of handicap or membership status, with no start restrictions. It is a V.S.O.P. (Valfri Start Och Partner) competition, meaning participants have free choice of start time (between 08:00-17:50) and playing partner. The weekly individual competition counts each player's 10 best results during the season in separate men's and ladies' classes. Men's class points distribution: 20-15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2 (all other participants receive 1 point). Ladies' class points distribution: 10-7-5-4-3-2 (all other participants receive 1 point). The entry fee is 60 SEK per competition, payable via Swish or card at the reception. Physical scorecards must be submitted to the shop or in the black mailbox near the old green fee drop-off, signed by a marker. Additionally, a two-man team betterball competition is available, where the team's best net score per hole counts, with the 8 best Wednesdays counted for the season. Team entry fee is 200 SEK per team for the entire season. Team results are recorded on the noticeboard in the clubhouse. Nearest the hole competition on hole 15 is included in the entry fee, with results recorded on the noticeboard. An eclectic competition is also available with a 100 SEK entry fee per person for the season. The first Wednesday of each month features a free tee time option, with specific dates: May 6, June 3, July 1, August 5, and September 2. Men may choose white, yellow, blue, or red tees; ladies may choose yellow, blue, red, or orange tees. Golf cart usage is permitted without medical certificate for this competition. The final on September 13 requires participation in at least six weekly competitions and is seeded and played in lead balls.
