The Men's Over 50's Better Ball is a pairs competition for male golfers aged 50 and over, held at Hessle Golf Club on Wednesday 26th August 2026. The event uses a Better Ball format where two-player teams compete with the better score of the two partners counting at each hole. Entry fee is £28.00 for both members and visitors, with online booking available via the club's booking system. All entrants must be members of an affiliated golf club with a Handicap Index not exceeding 25.3, and must have submitted a minimum of six acceptable scores for WHS Handicap purposes during the preceding twelve months, including at least three from competition play. Teams where any member has not met the score submission requirements are ineligible to win prizes. Normal GUI/ILGU dress code applies with soft spikes compulsory. Players are required to report to the Registration Desk before starting their round. Tee times are available from early morning onwards.
