Midcoast Junior Open

The Midcoast Junior Open takes place on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Goose River Golf Club in Rockport, Maine. This is an individual strokeplay competition open to all junior golfers under the age of 19. It is part of the Maine Junior Open Series. The maximum field is 60 players. Maximum handicap index is 16.0 for high school players and 28.0 for middle school players. There are two coed flights: High School Flight and Middle School Flight (girls play from a similarly rated set of tees). The entry fee is $30. The individual champion wins a trophy and Maine Golf voucher money; the value of voucher winnings depends on the size of the field. Parents and spectators are welcome but must remain at least 50 feet from players and may not provide instruction or advice. Caddies are permitted provided they have basic knowledge of the game and do not slow pace of play. The event offers Maine Junior Team points of Year (POY) points.
