Eagle Nest Golf Club

SC

Eagle Nest Golf Club is an 18-hole championship public golf course located in Little River, SC, minutes from Myrtle Beach. Designed by Gene Hamm, the course is set on 250 acres of pristine land and features gently rolling terrain, fairways lined with towering Carolina pines, and picturesque water features adorned with cypress and willow trees. The course was built in 1971 by Gene Hamm & Associates and renovated from the tees to the greens, along with the clubhouse, in 2001. MiniVerde greens present a challenge as they are very undulating. The construction of two new sets of tees makes Eagle Nest the 3rd longest golf course in America at 8,168 yards and one of the shortest at 3,800 yards, making this gem the most playable course in the Carolinas. Unlike most Myrtle Beach courses, Eagle Nest features natural elevation changes, creating a unique and challenging experience while immersing players in the serene surroundings of South Carolina's coastal landscape. Eagle Nest Golf Club is renowned for having three of the toughest finishing holes on the Grand Strand. The signature hole is #18, a 185-yard, par 3 from the tips, requiring a tee shot over a small pond to an oblong small green.

Eagle Ridge Golf Club

NJ

Eagle Ridge Golf Club opened in June 1999, designed by Brian Ault and James Cervone. The original 18-hole layout was built on a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway, resulting in unique topography with many elevation changes that formed various bluffs, cliffs, and ridges. With early success, the Kokes family commissioned Brian Ault to create a third nine on adjacent property that was once an ultra light airport and Lakewood municipal landfill, now known as the Links nine. The course offers an 18-hole experience (currently) set on rolling terrain uncommon to the Jersey Shore, featuring elevation changes and natural undulations. The Pines Nine spans 3,239 yards through mature trees for a traditional feel, while the Links Nine stretches to 3,528 yards with open fairways, large rolling greens, and strategic water hazards. A signature hole is the par-4 seventh on the Links course, a 372-yard dogleg left that tests precision off the tee and on approach. The routing winds through corridors of mature trees reminiscent of the Carolinas before opening to expansive fairways, with each hole presenting a distinct personality creating a dynamic rhythm. Located within the lush natural pines of Northern Ocean County near the Jersey Shore, it has been voted The Best in Ocean County and is consistently ranked among the Top 10 Public Access Golf Courses in New Jersey.
