Eagle Ridge Golf Club opened in June 1999, designed by Brian Ault and James Cervone. The original 18-hole layout was built on a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway, resulting in unique topography with many elevation changes that formed various bluffs, cliffs, and ridges. With early success, the Kokes family commissioned Brian Ault to create a third nine on adjacent property that was once an ultra light airport and Lakewood municipal landfill, now known as the Links nine. The course offers an 18-hole experience (currently) set on rolling terrain uncommon to the Jersey Shore, featuring elevation changes and natural undulations. The Pines Nine spans 3,239 yards through mature trees for a traditional feel, while the Links Nine stretches to 3,528 yards with open fairways, large rolling greens, and strategic water hazards.
A signature hole is the par-4 seventh on the Links course, a 372-yard dogleg left that tests precision off the tee and on approach. The routing winds through corridors of mature trees reminiscent of the Carolinas before opening to expansive fairways, with each hole presenting a distinct personality creating a dynamic rhythm. Located within the lush natural pines of Northern Ocean County near the Jersey Shore, it has been voted The Best in Ocean County and is consistently ranked among the Top 10 Public Access Golf Courses in New Jersey.
