Pine Barrens Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course designed by Eric Bergstol, spanning 7,118 yards near Jackson Township in New Jersey's Pinelands. The course features a par of 72 and opened in 1999. Situated upon 420 acres of natural terrain, the award-winning course is complemented by an Adirondack-style clubhouse that serves as a venue for special events.

The course's most defining characteristic is its extensive use of waste bunkers, with huge expanses of sand found at every hole, some reaching depths of shoulder-deep proportions. The tenth and fourteenth holes were quarried out for their greens, which drained naturally and were simply pushed up, while native coverings remained throughout, with bunker schemes and shaped greens weaving through environmentally protected wetlands. The outward nine provides scoring opportunities compared to the back nine, with the 389-yard opening hole and 437-yard eighth hole standing out as solid par-four challenges.

The course carries a rating of 73.5 with a slope rating of 132, indicating significant difficulty. The course calls upon golfers for considerable ball striking and decision-making abilities, with players almost certainly encountering multiple sand shots during play. The club is located in the Pinelands of Southern New Jersey, just minutes from the Metedeconk River.
