Eagle Springs Golf & Country is an 18-hole championship course designed by PGA Tour winner Johnny Miller, located in the Sierra foothills near Friant, California, approximately 10 miles north of Fresno. Opened in 1990, the course takes advantage of its spectacular setting overlooking Millerton Lake, winding through virtual forests of oak trees and granite rock outcroppings characteristic of the foothill terrain.
The course was designed to rival world-class golf facilities and quickly earned recognition as one of California's most spectacular courses, receiving a top-ten ranking from California Golf. The layout presents a balanced challenge suitable for golfers of all skill levels, featuring immaculate sand bunkers that test precision and creativity. The natural landscape of oak trees and granite formations creates both aesthetic appeal and strategic design elements throughout the routing.
Eagle Springs is a non-walking course, requiring cart play. The facility has undergone recent renovations, including upgrades to its driving range with new target greens and hitting tiers. The course's prestige has attracted notable celebrity players including NFL stars Steve Young and Jerry Rice, NBA superstar Michael Jordan, and country music artists. The club also features dining facilities and a pro shop to complement the golfing experience.
