Citrus Golf Club Hammamet

ولاية نابل

Citrus Golf Club Hammamet is a 45-hole facility located near the Bay of Hammamet on Tunisia’s east coast, set within a 173-hectare landscape of pine forests, olive groves, and seven lakes. Designed by American architect Ronald Fream and created in 1992, the complex comprises two distinct 18-hole, par-72 courses: La Forêt and Les Oliviers. The site is characterized by gently undulating terrain and is influenced by sea breezes from the nearby coast, offering a natural environment that includes palm trees and eucalyptus. La Forêt, which has been voted Tunisia’s best golf course by the World Golf Awards in 2017 and 2018, presents a demanding challenge through hilly fairways and windy conditions. Measuring 6,066 meters from the men’s tees and 5,235 meters from the ladies’ tees, this course is noted for its technical complexity and subtle, complex hole designs. It is described as a significant challenge for experienced golfers navigating its undulating landscape. Les Oliviers offers a different aesthetic, integrated into a typically regional landscape of olive groves that enrich the architect’s design. This course measures 6,106 meters from the men’s tees and 5,290 meters from the ladies’ tees. It provides a great challenge for golfers of all standards, contrasting with La Forêt by blending into the surrounding agricultural scenery while maintaining the high technical standards of the club’s design. The club supports its courses with extensive facilities, including an 80-hectare area of perfectly maintained grass, a driving range accommodating up to 120 people, and a Golf Academy featuring a 350-meter practice area with 120 mats. The academy also includes a 9-hole executive course with a par of 28, five putting greens, and five chipping and pitching greens. The facility hosts various events, including the annual Spring Golf Extravaganza charity tournament held on the Les Oliviers course.
