City of Florence Golf Course ☆ Follow

World of Golf is an 18-hole executive golf course located at 7400 Woodspoint Drive in Florence, Kentucky. The course features fourteen par-3 holes and four par-4 holes, designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan, ASGCA, and originally opened in 1969. The layout offers a shorter, faster alternative to regulation courses, designed for busy golfers, beginners, and those focusing on short-game improvement.

The course routing takes golfers across a watershed on the front nine before entering wooded terrain where wildlife may be encountered during early morning or evening rounds. The back nine plays around the driving range and includes three forced carries over ponds. The out-and-back design provides convenient access back to the clubhouse. The generous fairways and large greens accommodate various skill levels, though the course presents challenges despite its executive length.

The facility is clean and modern, offering professional golf lessons, a golf simulator, driving range, and miniature golf. An outdoor picnic area is available for events and gatherings.
