Campo América

Andalucía 1 upcoming event

Campo America is one of three 18-hole championship courses at La Cala Resort on the Costa del Sol in Mijas, Málaga. Designed by Cabell Robinson, the course stretches 6,009 metres and plays to a par 72 with five par-5s. Formerly known as the North Course, it offers a relatively forgiving driving layout with wide, linked fairways and relatively few bunkers, making it accessible to golfers of all levels. The course is characterized by its hilly topography, presenting unique challenges through steep, brush-covered side slopes and small, raised greens that demand accurate approach shots and precise club selection. Water hazards feature prominently on the 9th and 16th holes, adding strategic elements to the round. The course regularly ranks in the Top 100 golf course listings for Spain and Continental Europe, with iconic holes including the opening 1st hole featuring a steep drop to the fairway below, the risk-and-reward par-5 9th guarded by a lake, and the picturesque par-3 16th protected by water. The setting offers spectacular views of the Sierra de Ojén mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, with the 1st hole considered one of Spain's most visually impressive opening holes. The course is part of a larger resort complex featuring three golf courses, luxury accommodation, swimming pools, and a full-service spa.

Campo Asia

Andalucía 1 upcoming event

Measuring 5,925 metres and playing to a par 72, Campo Asia is the oldest and most respected of La Cala Resort's three championship courses. The course was designed by architect Cabell B. Robinson and opened in 1991. The course is renowned for its challenging design that prioritises strategy and precision, particularly on approach shots. Narrow and compact, the course's four par 5 holes demand skillful play and careful planning, making it a favourite among seasoned golfers and professionals. Campo Asia is located at Urb. La Cala Golf, Mijas Costa, 29649 Málaga. The course requires more accuracy from the tee and careful planning to shoot a good score. Water features grace the greens at the 3rd and 14th holes. The 5th features an inviting tee shot with a sweeping left to right fairway. The 9th is a risk and reward par 5 where long hitters can choose to drive over the steep drop to set up a reachable 2nd, or take the conservative play of a 200-metre shot left of the bunkers. The 11th is a memorable par 3 with steep elevation from tee to green along with spectacular views of the Sierra de Mijas and Mediterranean coastline. Campo Asia was the first of the three La Cala courses to be remodelled with Bermuda Grass greens in 2019, and the successful trial was then adopted for the other two layouts.

Campo de Golf Briceño 18

Cundinamarca

Campo de Golf Briceño 18 is an 18-hole, par 72 championship course located near Bogotá in Sopó, Cundinamarca, featuring over 7,400 yards. The course comprises two distinct nines with contrasting characteristics. The first nine, matured over more than 10 years, is surrounded by trees, flora, fauna, lakes, and bunkers, offering a challenging layout for low-handicap players while remaining accessible to developing golfers. The second nine, inaugurated in 2017, follows a links-style design inspired by 15th-century Scottish courses, where wind and expansive greens test strategic play. The course's sabana setting provides a scenic landscape with natural water features and strategic bunkering throughout. Notable amenities include one of the region's largest practice facilities extending 300 yards, professional instruction, and tournament hosting capabilities. The facility also accommodates corporate events and family activities. Players can submit scores directly to the Colombian Golf Federation and utilize GPS devices such as Garmin and Gamebook during play.

Campo de Golf Campano

Andalucía

Campo de Golf Campano is an 18-hole, par 72 championship course located in Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, situated in a natural setting among pine and olive trees. The original design was created by Robert Trent Jones Sr., one of the world's most renowned golf architects. The layout features wide fairways, well-maintained greens, and a design that balances strategic challenge with enjoyment. The course is complemented by extensive facilities including a driving range, golf academy, clubhouse with restaurant, and pro-shop. The clubhouse terrace offers views overlooking the first fairway, and the restaurant serves traditional local cuisine featuring seafood and fish from the Cádiz coast, as well as meat from the nearby Sierra de Cádiz region. The course is known for maintaining consistent playing conditions year-round, making it suitable for play throughout all seasons.
