The course was built in 2003. As a collegiate course, it must be walkable due to NCAA regulations. The back nine is a little easier than the front, but some members choose to walk the whole round. The course has a nice mix of holes with some very difficult par three holes and some nice par fours, with the finishing hole being terrific and difficult. The greens are consistently among the best champion bermuda found on courses. The course is home to the Texas men's and women's golf teams and serves as a championship-caliber venue for university golf. The club hosts the Folds of Honor 'The Texas Way' tournament annually in the fall.
