Rawdon Golf & Lawn Tennis Club is home to an exceptionally well maintained and intricate parkland 9 hole golf course, first established in 1896. The course was designed by Harry Vardon, a famous golfer and course architect in the late 1890s-1914. Although measuring only 5,886 yards in length, the par of 72 is a good indicator of the challenge the course offers to golfers of all abilities. 18 unique tee positions present the player with a different challenge through the front and back 9s. The club is located approximately six miles north-west of Leeds and Bradford city centres, in the popular residential village of Rawdon. The golf course is a wonderful 9-hole parkland course with undulating tree-lined fairways and testing greens. The course is known for its narrow fairways, mature trees, and well-maintained greens. The course offers a fair test of accuracy and shot-making, making it popular among both casual golfers and those looking to sharpen their skills.

The Rawls Course, located in Lubbock, Texas, opened in 2003 and was designed by Tom Doak for Texas Tech University. The course was constructed by transforming a flat cotton field into an entirely new landscape. Doak moved 1.3 million cubic yards of topsoil and shaped the earth to mimic the land east and south of Lubbock where the great plain suddenly starts falling into the valleys and canyons leading to the Caprock region. The course spans 7,207 yards with a par of 72. The course features wide fairways and boldly contoured greens and is playable for golfers of all skill levels. Lubbock's strong prevailing winds figured prominently in the course's final design. The course provides wide fairways accounting for the often-present wind, but includes deep bunkers and complicated green complexes, providing a challenge to better players while being playable for all levels. Notable holes include the par-4 8th, 12th and 14th holes. Turfnet magazine ranked The Rawls Course the third best collegiate course in the United States, while Golfweek recognized it as the fourth best collegiate golf course in the nation. It is an NCAA championship course constructed through a major gift from Jerry S. Rawls.

The front nine begins with a gentle dogleg first hole that leads to a plateau green, followed by an elevated second hole overlooking a valley. The third hole offers a manageable approach to an expansive, subtly rolling surface. The fourth hole serves as a signature short par-3, requiring a tee shot over a babbling brook between mature trees to a rebuilt green positioned exactly as Findlay originally envisioned. The fifth hole presents a classic long par-5 where the second shot must carry a creek to a large, terraced green surrounded by water. The back nine features significant elevation changes and strategic challenges. The sixth hole demands a confident iron shot over a stream and valley to a hilltop green protected by deep bunkers. The fourteenth hole is a demanding par-5 with a pronounced hogback fairway guarding the approach to a green carved into a hillside. The fifteenth hole plays dramatically from an elevated tee down to a green set beyond a stream, while the seventeenth offers a sweeping downhill drive to a broad landing area. The course concludes with an uphill eighteenth hole near the clubhouse. The club has a history of hosting notable golfers, including Walter Hagen, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, and Byron Nelson, who served as head professional from 1937 to 1939. LPGA Hall of Famer Betsy King, a Reading native, was taught golf by long-time pro Henry Clay Poe at the club. The course and its Tudor Revival clubhouse, completed in 1931, were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

The South Course is the older and more celebrated of the two layouts, designed by the distinguished Spanish architect Javier Arana and opened in 1959, making it the second oldest course on the Costa del Sol. It plays to a par of 72 over approximately 6,200 metres. The fairways are characteristically narrow and lined by mature trees, demanding straight driving and precise shot-making throughout. There is little rough, making the tree-lined corridors the primary defence of the layout. The course was comprehensively remodelled in 2002 by Stirling & Martin, who enlarged and reshaped the greens, added water hazards, and introduced computerised irrigation, while preserving the fundamental character of Arana's original design - including his trademark placement of a par-3 on the 17th hole. A distinctive feature of the South Course is its brief coastal stretch, where two holes run alongside the Mediterranean, with the par-3 11th overlooking the beach and featuring a vast bunker to the left of the green. The North Course was designed by Folco Nardi and opened in 1973. It plays to a par of 72 over approximately 5,660 metres, with a course rating of 69.4 and a slope of 131. The North is generally considered the more accessible of the two, though it is hillier and features more frequent water hazards, with lakes on holes 7, 9, 11, and 18, and the Guadalmina river running through the property and coming into play on hole 17.
