Real Golf Club de San Sebastián

Real Golf Club de San Sebastián is an 18-hole championship golf course with a par of 71, established in 1910. Located in Hondarribia, in the municipality near San Sebastián, the course sits on the slopes of Monte Jaizkibel, close to the Bidasoa River estuary and the French border, approximately 5 minutes from San Sebastián airport.

The course spans 50 hectares of natural landscape, offering distinctive seasonal variations that transform the playing experience throughout the year. The design presents a challenging layout for golfers of all levels, featuring strategic bunkering, elevation changes, and natural hazards including a small stream that crosses multiple holes.

Notable holes include the opening par-4, which features a semi-blind tee shot through densely wooded terrain with downhill elevation; hole 8, a dramatic downhill par-3 with excellent views and a stream fronting the green; and hole 18, a challenging uphill par-3 with significant bunker protection. The course is characterized by pronounced elevation changes, tree-lined fairways, and greens protected by strategically placed hazards.

The club has historical significance as the birthplace of legendary golfer José María Olazábal's golf career. Beyond the course, facilities include a restaurant and clubhouse amenities.
