Designed by renowned Dutch architect Frank Pennink, the course provides a fair but challenging test of golf with an 18-hole layout culminating in an exciting finish. These holes present a formidable sequence: tight par-4s at 13 and 15 bracketing a beautiful par-3 14th. The back nine continues demanding play with the 449-yard par-4 16th, where a bogey is considered solid, and the 194-yard par-3 17th playing longer than expected uphill. The closing hole is a 521-yard par-5 finishing toward the clubhouse with strategically placed bunkers. Ideally situated for visitors exploring Northumberland's coastal golf offerings, Bedlingtonshire has been featured in GolfShakes as the third-must-play course in the North East and among 30 best English courses to play in spring.
