Beechmont Country Club is a historic golf course in Cleveland, Ohio, with origins dating back to 1924 when the first nine holes opened in May, followed by the second nine in May 1925. The course was designed by Thompson, featuring a classic 18-hole layout that reflects early 20th-century golf architecture. Located at 29600 Chagrin Boulevard, the club sits in a secluded yet accessible setting that has maintained its prominence in Cleveland's community for over a century. The course is characterized by strategic design elements intended to challenge and inspire golfers of varying skill levels. In April 2025, the club initiated a historically inspired restoration project aimed at preserving Thompson's original design vision while modernizing the facility. The complete restoration is scheduled to reopen in spring 2026, with plans to restore the full strategic intent of the course as originally conceived. Beyond golf, Beechmont has served as an important social and recreational hub, emphasizing community, family bonds, and friendship among its members.
