The course can also be played as 9 holes and is situated on sloping terrain with significant elevation changes throughout. The course's characteristic setting features indigenous vegetation flanking the fairways, including coastal dune forests and thick jungle-like rough. The layout demands accurate tee shots to avoid losing balls in the dense bushland. The course overlooks the Umlalazi Estuary and offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. Wildlife inhabitants include duikers and numerous bird species, creating a natural, scenic playing environment. The layout is divided into three distinct nine-hole sections: the East Course, the South Course, and the West Course. Each section is further split into two nine-hole loops, creating six playable combinations. The East Course features a 36-par loop of 3,279 meters and a 36-par loop of 3,263 meters. The South Course offers a 37-par loop of 3,322 meters and a 36-par loop of 3,156 meters. The West Course consists of two 36-par loops measuring 3,156 meters and 3,133 meters respectively. The terrain is characterized by open, expansive views that allow golfers to see the entire hole from the tee box. The design incorporates water hazards and natural landscapes, including a large lake and coastal breezes. Fairways are maintained with medium-length grass, while the greens are planted with Penncross Bentgrass. The course is designed to offer a strategic challenge, requiring players to navigate water hazards and undulating greens. Key holes highlight the strategic nature of the layout. The first hole on the South Course is a par-4 where a water hazard runs along the right side of the fairway, demanding precise tee shots to avoid the water. The first hole on the West Course is a par-5 featuring a large water hazard in the center of the fairway, requiring careful distance control and strategic shot placement. The first hole on the East Course is a par-5 with a water hazard 270 meters from the tee, leading to an elevated two-tiered green that presents a difficult putting challenge. The course is open to the public and allows for flexible booking and play. The surrounding area offers additional recreational opportunities, including swimming and fishing, taking advantage of the nearby natural lake and sea. The facility is managed by Namhwa Industrial Co., Ltd., and utilizes electronic GPS-guided golf carts.

Muir of Ord Golf Club is an 18-hole heathland course located in Easter Ross, Scottish Highlands, approximately 11 miles from Inverness. Originally established with nine holes in 1875, the course was extended to a full 18 holes by renowned Scottish golf architect James Braid in the 1920s, who praised its "fine situation." The club celebrates over 150 years of golf history and is recognized as part of the Association of James Braid Courses. The course presents moderate difficulty suitable for golfers of various abilities. A distinctive characteristic is the Inverness to Wick railway line that dissects the course. The 12th hole is notably challenging, featuring a par 3 with woodland left, thick heather right, a greenside bunker, and a dry ditch crossing the fairway, described as one of the toughest par 3s in northern Scotland. The course is known for wildlife, including red kites soaring above fairways. Muir of Ord was awarded Scottish Golf Club of the Year in 2016.

Muirkirk Golf Club

Muirkirk Golf Club is a 9-hole moorland course established in 1991 in East Ayrshire, Scotland. Set amongst the dramatic hills of the local area, the course features holes with names evocative of the region, including Kaimes, Wee Strickland, and McAdam's Stane. The course has a par of 68 and measures approximately 5,049 yards from the white tees, with the opening hole being the par-4 Kaimes (294 yards) and the longest hole the par-4 Dykeside (436 yards). The course presents a challenging layout that demands accuracy and course management. It features a mix of par-3s and par-4s with numerous hazards requiring careful navigation. The relatively short yardage and open fairways make it accessible while the strategic hazards, including out-of-bounds areas close to fairways, provide substantial challenge. The parkland setting offers good-looking views across the East Ayrshire hills. Muirkirk Golf Club was resurrected in 1972 after the original club closed in 1956, with the current Southside Golf Course opening in May 1991 following years of dedicated member efforts and grants from various bodies. The club celebrated 100 years of golf in Muirkirk in 2010.
