Muirfield Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course located in North Rocks, New South Wales, Australia, situated among rolling hills on land that was formerly orchards and market gardens. The course was established in 1953 when members formed a club and secured naming rights from the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers at Scotland's Muirfield Golf Club. Originally developed as the Barclay Golf and Country Club and later North Rocks Golf Club, the course underwent significant transformation from its early modest state into a first-class facility. The club purchased the property outright in 1988 for $2 million after years of negotiation with the Wearn family. Today, Muirfield operates as a community-focused golf facility offering both member and public play, with the course benefiting from decades of member dedication and course development. The club hosts tournaments including the RSM Muirfield Open Amateur and maintains strong partnerships within the local North Rocks community.
