Mud Run Golf Course is a 9-hole public golf course designed by Craig Schreiner, ASGCA, and opened in 2003. Located at 2000 South Hawkins Avenue in Akron, Ohio, the course features a par-34 layout with five sets of bent-grass tees accommodating golfers of all skill levels. The course stretches to 2,800 yards from the back tees and sits on 85 acres surrounded by wetlands and woods, characterized by its low-country aesthetic.
The course is known for its well-maintained conditions and provides five sets of tees for different player abilities. Mud Run includes Akron's best driving range with grass tees (seasonal) and mats, two practice putting/chipping greens, and a one-acre chipping and pitching area. The facility features a 4,000 square-foot clubhouse with a snack bar and golf shop, along with a covered pavilion for golf outings.
The course serves as the home facility for First Tee of Greater Akron, a youth development organization focused on teaching golf skills and promoting character development. Electric and pull carts are available for play.
