Designed by Chohei Miyazawa, who inherited the design philosophy of renowned architect Seiichi Inoue, the course opened 50 years ago in 1975. The Hill Course presents the fundamentals of golf alongside new challenges for players. The facility underwent a significant clubhouse renovation beginning in October 2025, transitioning to an American resort-style operation while maintaining its traditional character. The resort features a restaurant overseen by curated chefs from the Trial group, offering high-quality cuisine and complimentary salad and dessert buffets with set meals. It was created as a joint initiative between Fife Council, Scottish Golf, and Dunnikier Golf Club, with support from Fife Golf Trust greenkeepers. Designed as a dual-purpose facility, the course functions both as a community development course for beginners-adults and juniors-and as a practice area. The layout provides an accessible introduction to golf for those new to the sport or seeking a shorter game. The course operates in a parkland setting characteristic of the broader Dunnikier facility, featuring gentle undulations suitable for golfers of all abilities. Green fee donations (minimum £2 for adults, £1 for children) are reinvested into course maintenance and development, while members and season ticket holders play free of charge. The facility is managed by the Dunnikier Golf Professional shop.

Avalon Golf Club is a classic 9-hole public golf course on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and is the only course on the peninsula available from dawn to dusk. The layout was designed by Dan Soutar and opened for play in October 1926. The course features undulating challenging fairways amongst lovely shady trees. The course is a test for all skill levels, allowing new golfers room to enjoy the game without being penalized, while offering experienced golfers a wonderful challenge requiring accurate tee shots and wedge play. The signature hole presents itself with a wonderful tee shot through a narrow shoot of trees, with a severe slope from right to left, followed by a short or mid iron to a flat green.
