Tokuyama International Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course located in Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. Situated at the foot of Mount Shikuma, the layout is designed to harmonize with the natural landscape, offering views of the surrounding mountain ranges and the Tokuyama Bay. The course features a mix of terrain characteristics, including uphill and downhill holes, with the front nine playing for a par of 36 and the back nine also set at 36. The course presents a strategic challenge, particularly through its "Amen Corner" consisting of holes 10 through 13. Hole 4, a par-4 with a handicap of 1, is noted for its narrow green and the critical nature of the third shot. The par-5 15th hole is the longest on the course at 562 yards from the back tees, offering expansive views of the bay and the city of Hagi. The 18th hole serves as a finishing uphill shot toward Mount Hoshi. Notable features include the tree-lined third hole, a par-3 that requires precise line reading on a large bent green, and the 13th hole, a par-3 surrounded by historic楠 and oak trees that add to the course's traditional atmosphere. The front nine includes the 1st hole, a downhill par-4 that has been widened on the left side, and the 7th hole, a par-5 that allows for powerful drives but presents a difficult uphill approach to a green with significant undulation. The back nine challenges players with the 12th hole, a demanding par-4 requiring both distance and accuracy, and the 16th hole, a long, flat par-4 that is deceptive in its difficulty.
