Tokuyama Kokusai Country Club is an 18-hole course located in Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, situated at the foot of Mount Shikuma. The layout is designed to harmonize with the natural landscape, offering views of the surrounding mountain ranges and the Tokuyama Bay. The course features a mix of elevation changes, including uphill and downhill holes, and is characterized by large bentgrass greens and significant undulation. The par is 72, with the regular tees measuring 6,624 yards from the back tees. The front nine presents a variety of challenges, starting with a long downhill par-4 on the first hole. The fourth hole is a demanding par-4 where a narrow green is protected by a pond on the left and bunkers on the right. The sixth hole is a left-dogleg par-4 guarded by two large bunkers, while the ninth hole features a two-tiered green that requires precise approach shots. The back nine includes a scenic par-5 fifteenth hole, which is the longest on the course at 562 yards from the back tees and offers a 360-degree view extending to Shimotsu City. The eleventh hole is a 550-yard par-5 that tests accuracy off the tee and on the second shot. Significant difficulty is found in the "Armen Corner," comprising holes 10 through 13. This stretch requires accurate shot-making and includes the twelfth hole, a par-4 that demands both distance and precision. The thirteenth hole is a dramatic par-3 framed by large bunkers and mature楠 and kashi trees. The sixteenth hole is a deceptive par-4 that appears flat and straightforward but presents a high level of difficulty. The course concludes with the eighteenth hole, an uphill par-4 that requires an accurate shot toward Mount Hoshi. The facility includes a driving range, an approach and bunker practice area, and a clubhouse with a restaurant, shop, and bathhouse featuring hot spring water. The course hosts various regular competitions throughout the year, including the Ladies Competition, the TK Association, and the Himawari Association, among others. The grounds also feature a golf shop and a fitting workshop for players.
