Unimat Yamaguchi Golf Club is a public 18-hole, par-72 course located in Shunan, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. Situated at an elevation of approximately 445 meters, the course is designed as a highland layout that offers a cool, breezy atmosphere. The terrain is characterized as hilly but notably flat overall, with wide fairways that allow for confident shot-making. The course includes several strategic challenges, such as the 502-yard 1st hole, which is a long uphill par-5 with out-of-bounds on both sides, and the 531-yard 5th hole, described as a dynamic long hole. The back nine features the 553-yard 15th, a long par-5 that plays uphill, and the 513-yard 11th, a downhill par-5. Key characteristics of the course include several par-3 holes that require precision. The 3rd hole is a 186-yard par-3 over water, while the 6th is a 170-yard par-3 also carrying a water hazard. The 13th hole is a 200-yard par-3 with a flat, open view. The 16th hole, a 313-yard par-4, is noted for its narrow fairway with out-of-bounds on both sides, demanding accuracy off the tee. The 17th hole is a 182-yard par-3 that plays downhill over a valley. The course is designed to be strategy-focused, particularly from the back tees, where players must be careful with their landing areas.
