The Rail Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course located in Springfield, Illinois, designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones Sr. Built on a converted 240-acre dairy farm, the course has been rated 4 stars by Golf Digest and consistently recognized as one of Central Illinois's premier golfing destinations. The Rail hosted the prestigious State Farm Rail Classic tournament from 1976 to 2006.

The course features meticulously maintained fairways and greens complemented by strategic design elements including 5 lakes and 82 sand bunkers. These water hazards and bunkers provide significant challenge throughout the layout. Known locally as "Springfield's Finest & Friendliest," The Rail offers a full range of amenities including golf instruction from certified PGA professionals, multiple membership options, and event facilities for tournaments and special occasions. The facility is also available for private events, corporate outings, and weddings, featuring banquet space alongside its championship golf course.
